Chapter Twenty - The French Revolution
There are also some games to test your knowledge of the information in the chapters, but purpose is simply recall of information... so I would not give the games much value.
Playing History (Intermediate students to Secondary)
A great site that links to simulations and games on other sites. Use the word cloud to navigate, as it is easier than the search function. Some superb games.
CNN for Kids
Constantly updating and very well done. Shows a video of a newscast that is set at a pace and language the kids can understand. It also provides background information for stories and activities. Although many of the news items are US-based, there is quite a bit of World News.
If you know of any other wonderful Social Studies sites, please help us build our resources by sending the links to Avi Luxenburg at avi.luxenburg@sd71.bc.ca.
